The Volkswagen Beetle has three engine options: a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, a 2.0-liter TDI clean diesel engine and a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged engine. A five-speed manual transmission comes with all three engines, but a six-speed automatic transmission is optional with the 2.5-liter engine.
The Volkswagen Beetle comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side-impact airbags and active front head restraints. Convertibles also feature a rollover protection system.
